  This a great place to get to see live Gardner snake and if you are lucky you can even hold them. The best time to go is the spring and fall. In the spring just as they are getting ready to leave the den and in the fall as they are returning for the winter.

  Nice visit. It was a bit cold so the snakes weren't very active. Will have to try another day when it's not raining.

  When we go we either go to early or maybe to late . But you still can see snakes mating

  Had a blast here, only 3 of the dens were active when we arrived but it was a great experience for the whole family. The snakes were gentle.

  My only concern was that no one was around to monitor the dens and snakws when we were there and it was a busy day. Unfortunately some kids were being very rough, one child swinging them around and the parents were not speaking up. For the protection of the snakes there needs to be staff around, especially on weekends.

  Great experience. Park staff are friendly and very informative. The 3km walk to all four snake dens is on a nice gravel path. Check the website​ for best times to go. Careful the snakes can bite!
